A. Smith Bowman is the oldest and most award-winning distillery in Virginia and traces its roots back to the pioneering Bowman family that had ties to Virginia, Louisiana, and Kentucky. Bowman bourbons are the multi-year winners of the World’s Best Bourbon awards, making Virginians very proud.

It is important to all of us that our team members and our communities thrive and prosper. We offer healthcare benefits, 401K, vacation, sick leave, and tuition reimbursement after one year of service. We have an on-the-job training program and we give recognition awards for the hard work of our team members. We hold seasonal team-member appreciation events.

As an integral part of the fabric of our community, every year we donate thousands of dollars to dozens of charities. These include food banks, women’s shelters, museums and cultural organizations, downtown associations, first responders and many others. Well over 70 different non-profit groups received donations from our A. Smith Bowman Distillery this year alone.
