Job Description/Responsibilities

The Associate Brand Manager - Premium Vodka will play a role in helping Sazerac grow its position in the expansive premium vodka category, specifically helping to meet objectives for key expansion initiatives and NBD.  This role reports to the Marketing Director, Premium Vodka & Rum.


  • For assigned brands, develop an annual budget in each U.S. market, create marketing plans, implement pricing strategy and ensure plan is executed to reach sales objectives (Calypso, Chi-Chi's, Ice Box.) Identify and see through to completion areas to save money, improve efficiency and add value to the company.
  • Work with Brand Manager to build Wheatley Vodka, Platinum Vodka, and Fris Vodka brands and initiatives into a viable and profitable consumer business. Work with Sales team to maximize sales and distribution potential and to ensure financial success. Manage the value equation on RTD portfolio.
  • Manage agency creative work on package development, marketing materials, sales materials, public relations and media for all assigned NBD and brand projects
  • Assist the Marketing Director in achieving brand state priority objectives, and meeting annual objectives for assigned brands. Prioritize time & resources to evaluate and analyze progress on brands most critical to achieving growth and contribution objectives. Work closely with Sales team to ensure that brand and state prioritizations are achieved. Use Cognos, KPI's and VIP to measure and analyze progress against brand state priorities.
  • For Vodka portfolios, coordinate international matters including packaging and sales support.
  • Follow company protocol to concept, plan, develop, and successfully launch and grow NBD assignments in collaboration with the Marketing Director. Includes formula development, procurement, compliance, forecasting, costing, pricing, production planning, item setup coordination, and brand planning.
  • Establish well organized priorities for yourself - roles defined, people understand which teams they are on, with updates posted and tasks successfully completed.
  • Identify processes for position outcomes and priorities. Identify cross functional support to be involved in projects and processes. Serve as marketing point person on new initiatives and marketing / operations / purchasing / sales / finance processes.
  • Develop and follow an action plan to gain learning experiences needed for self to grow and avail internal career development opportunities.



  • Bachelor Degree required
  • Solid computer skills
  • Minimum 3 years relevant sales/marketing experience
  • Willingness to travel


  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing or Communications
  • MBA
  • Experience with Budgeting, planning and/or financial analysis experience.
  • Experience in New Business Development
  • Experience with thee tier distribution system
  • Demonstrated active learner with the ability to make independent observations, and "connect the dots".
  • Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry
