LOUISVILLE, KY (April 13, 2022) – Ten of Sazerac’s tequilas and mezcals, produced in partnership with Casa San Matías, received medals at the 2022 International Wine & Spirits Competition, including Los Vecinos Del Campo Mezcal Tobala which was awarded a Gold medal. The company’s agave spirits also took home six Silver medals and three Bronze medals.

Gold medals went to:

·      Los Vecinos Del Campo Mezcal Ensamble No. 1

Bronze medals were awarded to:

·      Tequila Corazón De Agave Reposado

·      Expresiones Del Corazón Elmer T. Lee Añejo Tequila

·      Expresiones Del Corazón William Larue Weller Añejo Tequila

The International Wine & Spirits Competition uses a double-blind tasting method, in which samples are tasted in pre-poured numbered glasses to ensure judges never see a bottle. Spirits are judged by a panel of world-renowned experts from across the global spirits trade, allowing for group discussion.
